History of Fashion Illustration

I was reading up on the history of fashion design on Wikipedia to get ideas for work and my attention was caught by the mention of some of the first fashion illustrators. Their drawings are so exquisite I had to share some of them here.

* I actually have a dress just like this, it was my mother's bridesmaid's dress. Her wedding dress was a black, beaded flapper dress and the bridesmaid wore a dusky pink and white lace tiered flapper dress with a sash on the waist that tied in a bow.
